Getting to Know Us...
BAR Stables, LLC was established in 2022. Brock and Laura decided after spending most of their lives in the horse industry it was time to start an adventure of their own.

Brock and Laura have both spent their entire lives pursuing their love of horses.

At age three Brock began his journey by riding his beloved Kazba. Sometimes he rode in the saddle and much to his mother's dismay, he could be seen standing on her back while taking a trip around the pasture. This evolved into Mini 4-H and eventually a 10-year member.

A local riding barn was offering lessons so he thought he would sharpen his Western skills. After 2 lessons, the trainer thought he needed to be challenged more, and he began English riding.

Brock began competing at nine years old in the Class A horse world and won 1st place at the prestigious River Ridge in OH. This was the beginning of many more successful competitions all over the United States, including the Morgan World Championship and training the winning World Champion Saddlebred horse and exhibitor in Louisville for Jr. Exhibitor 10-12 years old. Brock has been working in the horse business since 2002.

Laura is from southern IN and started riding in the Dubois Co. 4-H program. Post High School, she pursued and completed an equestrian science degree from William Woods University in Fulton, MO. She participated in internships consisting of several disciplines in KY and IN. One opportunity became available at a stable in Westfield, IN, alongside Brock. It was love at first sight and they were soon married.

Laura's horse knowledge and calm demeanor is a compliment and asset to the operation of their stable.

Laura is always busy supporting the barn activities and taking care of their three active children -- Braden 14, Bria 8, and Will 3 years old. All working and loving the horses as well.

BAR comes from the initials of Brock's name.
